The Kate of Kensington range of platters and coasters are handmade from natural Italian marble, meaning each may vary slightly in colour & texture.
All of our marble products are handmade not factory produced, using whole natural pieces of stone. As a natural product, marble has veins (lines) divots and is not perfectly square, including rustic edges, wonky corners and variations in colour. This is part of its natural charm and we pride ourselves in creating our products this way.

In addition, all platters are finished in a heat-resistant sealant, making them highly versatile and a perfect multipurpose product.
Use them in a variety of ways including; cheese board, serving tray, display piece, pot stand, cake stand, placemats, food platter, coasters, breadboard or a candle stand. The possibilities are endless!
How it Started
Kate liked to find unique gifts for birthdays and Christmas but found what she was looking for didn’t exist. So Kate started to make handmade gifts, and consequently, coasters became her ‘thing’.
Kate became more experimental with her art and materials, and that ultimately led her to marble. Coasters were now her go-to gift, and people loved them!
Kate then began attending local craft fairs, which gave her the boost to push further. Kate ultimately applied for a stall in Covent Garden; within the year, she had a regular spot in the famous Apple Market where Kate of Kensington still trades today!
Over the past few years, Kate and her team have added different sizes and designs to the mix.
